Fossil Fuels
· Fossil fuels are created by dead buried creatures mostly of phytoplankton or zooplankton ancestry. The plankton mass settled on the floor of oceans and lakes creating layers and layers of decomposing organisms over millions of years.
· Examples of fossil fuels are coal, petroleum, methane and natural gas
· Coal is made out of decomposed 440 million year old fern plants.
· Humans have been exploiting fossil fuels for years and are starting to pay for it. Although the U.S.A has less than the 5% of the world’s population it uses ¼ of the world’s fossil fuels.
· Humans use fossil fuels to power our cars, stoves, ovens, gas heaters, motorcycles and most types of transportation.
· Instead of using fossil fuels, humans can stop using cars that run on petrol or diesel and start using public transportation or even hydro
